What is FancyFace?

 

FancyFace provides outstanding, professional face- and body-painting services for events in the Maryland/DC/Virginia area. Our painters bring inspiration, skill, and passion to the art of face painting – a classic, crowd-pleasing way to infuse any event with a sense of magic for children, teens, and adults.

 

With a stroke of a brush, we can transform faces, unveil alter egos, create adventurous new identities, or just make a special day a little more exciting with some color and sparkle. Dramatic or demure, gruesome or gorgeous—FancyFace can paint the spectrum of your imagination!

 

 

What do we do?

 

At an average rate of 10 to 12 full faces per hour or 20 half faces per hour, FancyFace paints for:

 

• Birthday/themed parties

• Bar/bat mitzvahs

• Festivals, fairs, and outdoor/sports events

• Corporate events

• Holiday celebrations

 

We use only hypo-allergenic, cosmetic-grade and FDA-approved paints and glitters such as Cameleon, Ruby Red, Diamond FX, TAG, FAB, Paradise and Wolfe.

 

About us

 

Hi!  I’m Miriam Braly and I’m the owner of FancyFace. With over 15 years of professional artistic experience ranging from creating special make-up effects and painting faces to designing murals for local businesses, I’m always excited to connect to new people of all ages through my love of art. A Baltimore native, I earned my B.A. in Theatre with a double-minor in Dance and Art from the University of Maryland at College Park. My interest in face painting began in college as a way to earn extra money while working toward my degree; it soon flourished into a vibrant career. I now work with multiple event companies in the MD/DC/VA area, including the Maryland Zoo, where I have painted faces at all major zoo events for the past 4 years.
